"Racine’s Water Utility Lays Financial Siege To Its Customers"

From Racine Exposed:

"RACINE — Racine Water Utility customers could see their quarterly water bill increase by $4 to $6 this summer or fall, but only if the Wisconsin Public Service Commission gives the hike a green light. On Tuesday, the utility’s Waterworks Commission voted 4-0 to allow Racine Water and Wastewater Utilities General Manager Keith Haas to submit an application to the PSC asking for permission to increase the utility’s current rate"

The more I read, the sicker it makes me. The majority of our water bill goes for other projects which have nothing to do with providing clean, germ free water or upgrading our infrastructure? Is there no honesty or trust left anywhere?

Racine is judging Kenosha's dishonest government, and cases are shipped from Racine to Kenosha to determine if they are ethical. It is the blind leading the blind.

You are correct.

It is sad.

It is also a mark of desperation. I was told my a Mt. Pleasant Trustee (the other day) as we discussed this matter that The City of Racine has spent down it's reserves to 5%, from 20%+. Any unexpected troubles, and Racine will be in BIG TROUBLE.

I have warned people for the last few years - but that time is getting closer.

The City of Racine can't absorb many more unexpected expenses.

Mt. Pleasant Trustees silently expect Racine to go *BUST* - it's not a matter of IF, it's a matter of when.

Racine is already in big trouble.
Keep up the info coming on this leaky water tax drain.
The evil just keeps on finding more ways to tax us into a third world country.
