What's on the Menu!

Today I am going to post a recipe that you can have for breakfast or dinner and it is so good. I haven't made this in a long time and my younger daughter just loves this one. She has been bugging me to make this since she has been home but I haven't.

                                             Impossibly Easy Cheeseburger Pie

1lb Ground Beef

1 Small Onion chopped

1/2 Teaspoon Salt

1 Cup Shredded Cheese

1/2 Cup Bisquick Mix

1 Cup Milk

2 Eggs

1.  Spray a 9 inch pie pan or I use a cake pan.

2. Brown the ground beef and onion and drain the grease.  Put the meat on the bottom of the pan and sprinkle the shredded cheese over the meat.

3. In a small bowl mix the rest of the ingredients blend real good together then pour over cheese and meat.

4. Preheat oven to 400 degrees and bake for 25 minutes.

I have had to double this recipe for my kids because they love having left overs of this.

I hope everyone enjoys this recipe.

thanks, THB, sounds really good! I don't use bisquick, but may have to pick some up!

If you do a search, Bisquick has a bunch of "impossible pies." Main dishes as well as desserts. In fact, I have a cookbook of them! The chicken pot pie is great!

When I took cooking class in school, we made our own Bisquick Mix. We used it to make a bunch of different recipes. It was very good. I don't have the original recipe we used, but the internet is full of recipes for it that contain just a couple ingredients. You can make it up and store it in an air proof container (tupperware/ziplock baggie)

Home made Bisquick Recipe
2 cups flour
3 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 Tablespoon shortening (butter or margarine)

I've seen the recipe you posted before, and it looked interesting. (maybe on a box of Bisquick?)

I liked the Roundy's brand of biscuit mix better than Bisquick. Now that roundy's has closed my ***sniff sniff*** Rainbow store, I have no where to get it. I just got the Jiffy mix. Haven't made anything with it yet tho.

kk- I had no idea that there was a recipe for Bisquick thanks for letting me know. I always have that stuff in the house too and now I am going to have to try making some of my own.
