Former Pawleys Island Community Church Pastor Don Williams addresses the PICC congregation about the church's decision not to tell teachers and parents that a registered sex offender was volunteering on campus.
Williams says leadership limited disclosure to those "directly responsible for Mr. Perry's oversight" — a judgment he says the church is now reevaluating. Congregants repeatedly shouted him down: "You are responsible for this." "They need to go to jail with him. You knew."
Williams has since resigned and been arrested on charges including obstruction of justice and unlawfully placing a child at risk.
