Clergy Gone Wild: Pastor Explains Why He Hid Sex Offender Volunteering at Church

Former Pawleys Island Community Church Pastor Don Williams addresses the PICC congregation about the church's decision not to tell teachers and parents that a registered sex offender was volunteering on campus. Williams says leadership limited disclosure to those "directly responsible for Mr. Perry's oversight" — a judgment he says the church is now reevaluating. Congregants repeatedly shouted him down: "You are responsible for this." "They need to go to jail with him. You knew." Williams has since resigned and been arrested on charges including obstruction of justice and unlawfully placing a child at risk. Read more at: https://roysreport.com/pawleys-island...

Thank God that this swine resigned and was arrested.

One of three people charged with child neglect last summer sentenced

From The Journal Times.com:

Milana Doné

RACINE — An Oshkosh man was sentenced to 18 months in prison Tuesday in connection to three young boys being found naked outside a motel room in June 2024.

Jarrel Gordon, 26, was charged with three counts of neglecting a child. The charges recognize that the children were younger than 6 and not specifically harmed.

He pleaded guilty to one count, and also was ordered to serve two years of extended supervision.

The remaining two counts were dismissed but read into the court record.

Allegations

Gordon, the father of the three children, was charged alongside the children's mother, 26-year-old Kayla Ritchie, and their uncle, 24-year-old Dalton Ritchie.

When Mount Pleasant police arrived at the motel on June 10, 2024, the children, two 5-year-olds and a 3-year-old, reportedly were naked and playing outside one of the rooms.

According to a criminal complaint, police had responded to the same location for similar complaints three times prior.

The first officer who arrived reported seeing several puddles of liquid, assumed to be urine, draining from just outside the motel room onto the pavement of the parking lot.

Police reported that the door to the motel room was half open and that the room was in disarray — with feces, clothing, refuse and dirty diapers strewn around the room.

Officers also reportedly found and seized a marijuana pipe.

Dalton Ritchie was reportedly sleeping on a soiled mattress in the back of the room. Shortly after the police woke Dalton Ritchie, who reportedly confirmed that he was temporarily responsible for the children, Gordon arrived.

According to a police report, Gordon said he knew the latch on the door was broken and that the two oldest children were able to open the door.

Kayla Ritchie arrived later and reportedly told police that the family moved into the room a month prior. She also reportedly said that she had been absent since the previous Friday because of her job.

According to the criminal complaint, all three individuals knew the children could open the door and leave the room.

On June 16 of this year, Kayla Ritchie was found guilty of one count of neglecting a child. Two identical counts were dismissed but read into the court record. Her sentence was withheld and she was placed on one year of probation.

Dalton Ritchie's three counts of neglecting a child were dismissed without prejudice Jan. 27 of this year.

Department of Corrections to conduct Halloween home visits of sex offenders

From The Journal Times.com:

MADISON — Local law enforcement agencies across the state will work with Wisconsin Department of Corrections this Halloween to monitor sex offenders on probation or parole.

As part of an annual partnership, the DOC Division of Community Corrections probation and parole agents along with local agencies will conduct random home visits on high-risk sex offenders during trick-or-treat hours.

Individuals on the sex offender registry who are on probation or parole are prohibited from having Halloween decorations inside or outside of their homes. They also may not distribute candy, participate in other trick-or-treating activities and must keep their porch lights off during trick-or-treating.

“Trick-or-treating is a fun Halloween tradition, but it’s also a time to remind children of safe practices while walking their neighborhoods," DOC director of Sex Offender Programs Grace Knutson said in a news release. “As a group, plan your route and stick to neighborhoods with well-lit streets. Younger children should always be accompanied by an adult, and older children should stay in a group. Cell phones are a great way to communicate and track the child’s location."

Wisconsin DOC encourages parents and guardians to get to know their neighborhoods by accessing the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry website at wistaysafe.gov. Users can search by ZIP code or view offenders within a geographic radius.

Anyone who sees a potential violation can call in the tip line at 877-234-0085. The DOC recommends that the public contact local law enforcement in emergency situations.

Teachers Gone Wild: Former teacher sentenced in sexual assault case

From The Journal Times.com:

Caroline Neal

RACINE — Jamill Sanders, a former teacher at 21st Century Preparatory School in Racine, was sentenced during a hearing Monday after pleading no contest to two counts of fourth-degree sexual assault, a misdemeanor, and one count of felony child abuse meant to intentionally cause harm.

For each misdemeanor charge, Sanders, 37, will serve nine months in the Racine County Jail.

He also will spend three years on probation for the felony charge.

The sentence was imposed and stayed, meaning that if the conditions of probation are violated and Sanders' probation is revoked, he will be required to serve two years in Wisconsin State Prison and two years of extended supervision.

The remaining charges — including second-degree sexual assault of a child and repeated sexual assault of the same child — were dismissed but read into the court’s record.

According to previous Journal Times reporting, Racine Police Department officers were sent to the K4-8 school on March 27, 2024, after a report of a sexual assault.

Sanders had been working at the school as a behavioral interventionist.

Five students, including two 12-year-olds and three 14-year-olds, reportedly made allegations against him.

Cops Gone Wild: Former St. Francis officer sentenced to jail and probation for recording teen girl changing

From JSOnline:

Erik S. Hanley
Milwaukee Journal Sentinel

A former St. Francis school resource officer was sentenced to jail time and probation after pleading guilty to recording a teen girl changing in his office.

Dimitri Kamolov pleaded guilty as part of a plea agreement in April to one felony count of invading privacy with a surveillance device of someone under 18 years old, online court records show.

As part of plea negotiations, a second felony count of attempting to capture an intimate representation of someone under 18 was dismissed but read into the record.

On June 5, Kamolov was sentenced to one and a half years in prison and two years of extended supervision, but had the sentence stayed, according to online records, and the court placed Kamolov on probation for three years.

As part of the probation, Kamolov was ordered to serve nine months condition time (jail time served as part of probation), according to online court records. There will be no electronic monitoring, but he will be allowed Huber release for elder care.

According to the complaint:

A 17-year-old female student at St. Francis High School accused the school resource officer of secretly filmed her changing in September 2024.

Kamolov was employed as a part-time certified law enforcement officer with the St. Francis Police Department and assigned to the high school as its resource officer. He’d been with the department for 31 years.

Kamolov invited the girl into his private office to give her a shirt he’d brought from Brazil. He told her to try two on to see which fit better, drew the blinds and left.

She started changing and while still wearing a tank top the 17-year-old student noticed a cellphone propped up and recording her.

Kamolov was placed on administrative leave following the incident.

A video on Kamolov’s phone, which he provided to the St. Francis Police Department, depicted him setting up the phone to record and capturing the girl taking off her hoodie to try on the shirts. It was also discovered Kamolov emailed or texted himself the video four times – once it had been cropped and slowed down.

As part of his probation/extended supervision, court records state Kamolov must submit to a sex offender evaluation and cooperate with any treatment recommended by the probation department, have no unsupervised contact with anyone under 18 years old, and cannot possess any devices without safety software and/or monitoring installed, among other requirements.
