Chess, Anyone?

I am not much of a player, so don't take this as a challenge. However, International Space Station astronaut Gregory Chamitoff is and he is currently taking on the world. The students at Stevenson Elementary School in Bellevue, Washington are leading the charge for Earth. They make a list of four possible moves and people vote via the internet which one to do. Our move is sent to the ISS and Gregory responds. The game is not fast...about one move a day (on school days).

The chess pieces and board have velcro on them to keep them from floating around in the ISS.

So if you are a chess affecianado, go ahead and vote. If you are not, well, then you can have fun screwing up the game!

looks cool, if I had a clue how to play chess, I would get into it!

I had an strong interest in the game for awhile in my early twenties, but I don't think I've played it since. It really is a fascinating game, and I don't like games. It can completely absorb you if you get into it.
