Health Care Plan

To prepare for the new healthcare reform package, we felt it necessary to develop a new medical symbol that truly depicts the Health Care Plan you will be getting!

I don't think the screw part is big enough. It should look more like one of those big ass lag screws.

Actually I shouldn't complain. I think my insurance is pretty good, it's just that living in the poorest county in the state, everybody WITH insurance has to pay for ALL the hillbillys, etc. that dont's have it. They all seem to live in the ER.

Mom broke her hip 4 years ago. She's old and the hip and leg continue to give her problems. One of the doctors ordered an MRI. Everything was all set up until mom mentioned the four metal screws that the doctors had used to repair her hip. Duh, oh yeah, said the MD, we can't use Magnetic Resonance Imaging if there's metal in the body part.

The mother of a friend of mine is in a Tennessee hospital after having a slight stroke. She had fallen and broke her wrist and also messed up some disks in her back making it painful to walk. She needs to get an MRI. One would normally think she could get that in the hospital. No.
Once she is discharged from the hospital she will go to the outpatient clinic and have it done as that is the only way Medicare will pay for it. She's already hurt but lets have her have to go back out for more tests. How messed up is that?
Although I do like President Obama and think he is doing a good job, I think we should slow down on the healthcare issue until we get the economy straightened out first.
Then lets try to get some serious reform going.
