Woman Jumps from the Marriott

Didnt see this in any of our local media.

Woman Falls from Hotel Window
By Melissa McCrady
MT. PLEASANT - A 23-year-old woman suffered head injuries after falling from a third floor hotel window.

It happened at the Marriott Hotel at 7111 Washington Avenue early Sunday morning. Police say four people returned to their hotel room after a wedding. An argument broke out. Ashley Kronwall walked over the window, opened it and pulled out the screen, as if she was going to jump. A friend tried to grab her, but she slipped and fell three levels onto a metal grate on the ground.

Kronwall was found lying on a grate unconscious but breathing.

Kronwall was rushed to Wheaton Franciscan Hospital in Racine, and later transported by helicopter to St. Luke's in Milwaukee. Investigators say she is in stable condition with minor head injuries. Kronwall is from Lake Geneva.

The friend who to grab Kronwall, Jeremiah J. Jacob of Burlington, was upset about the fall and smashed a hotel window causing injuries to both his arms.

I think Miss Kronwall needs some psychiatric attention.

They should outlaw weddings. Dangerous things. I think the anti gay marriage crew might really be trying to protect gays....

I work in a large hotel. Wedding parties are a big pain. We spend billions fighting "illegal" drugs, but alcohol causes more trouble and suffering than any of the banned drugs combined. I hate drunk loud stupid people.

I happen to know these people personally. Alcohol was defenitley the factor because otherwise they are all very sane, intelligent people. Watch what you say about people you don't know anything about.

Anon 5:10, you make a good point. I don't think anyone was trying to specifically be mean. I'm sure everyone wishes her well. This is a tragedy.

It was not a smart move to mess with a third story window though. Threatening to jump out due to an argument is not a rational move, alcohol or not. I hope she gets whatever help is necessary. And yes, my thoughts are with her.

I am the nutjob who fell out the window. First of all don't believe everything you hear from the media...there was no screen. Second of all, alcohol and clumsiness were the factors, nothing more. You should really think before you make nasty comments because something like this could happen to your daughter/sister/friend, and it really hurts to be on the receiving end.

Sorry you are hurt. The paper said there was an argument and a "proposed" threat to jump.

If you come here often enough, you would know that we don't necessarily take the paper as gospel on this site.

Who here made any nasty comments directly about Ashley? It appears it was she who called herself a nut job.
