Update:

Check out the movie clip below. It's the one I referred to in the comments. The movie's title is God Bless America.

It was bound to happen, sooner or later. There are more rude people every day and more nut-jobs, too.

Bad public meets bad cop.
No respect for manners or life. Complete idiots.
Lesson learned is don't bring a cell phone to a gun fight.

A retired police officer allegedly shot two people, one fatally, during a cell phone dispute inside a Florida movie theater Monday, authorities said.

This is the part I liked best.

Nocco said his detectives considered if the case qualified under the state's controversial "stand your ground law," which permits residents to employ deadly force if they fear imminent danger.

LOL.

We already have road rage. Theater rage can't be far behind. Soon, a nutjob will go off anywhere that people congregate. We will just have rage rage everywhere.

I don't condone killing someone for cellphone use in a theater, but a minor wound may have been in order. (jk) Not only are there some very, very rude people out there, but they are proud of it and will fight for the right to be assholes. Movie theaters offer the cover of darkness for the a-holes to act out. I don't go to movie theaters anymore.

Nah, it's just a Fascist State and now the Police have turned on White People, so now it's different.

Cop Shoots, Kills Unarmed College Student After Sarcastic Remark

*WOW* a WHITE College boy got shot up for opening his mouth!

An Alamo Heights Police Department rep told reporters Carter stopped Redus for speeding and driving erratically.

*WOW* Fer sure - that's probable cause - but the kids Milque-Toast White.

Katie Bosworth, a UIW senior, was among the last people to see Redus alive. She said earlier that evening, their class had celebrated at a couple of restaurants marking the end of the semester.

“I just don’t understand how a campus police officer was off campus and he got shot by the campus police officer,”

Milque-Toast White boy. They'll have a candlelight vigil for him.

“He emptied the gun on him,” he said. “Boom, boom, boom.Six shots -- five or six.”

You can't shoot just one!

"He's not an aggressive person at all, so the story just doesn't really make sense to any of us," said Sarah Davis, a long-time friend of Redus.

"Cameron was the sweetest, kindest, gentlest person, so compassionate," said Annie Jones, another friend.

Bosworth, who only had two classes with Redus, said, “He was a really good guy. He was one of the most laid back, nicest guys that I knew.”

AWWW. He was a good boy.

Documents obtained by the paper show Carter has had nine jobs at eight agencies over the course of eight years in law enforcement.

Should have listened to Ice Cube.

Now if you’re white you can trust the police
But if you’re black they ain’t nothin but beasts
Watch out for the kill
Don’t make a false move and keep your hands on the steering wheel
And don’t get smart
Answer all questions, and that’s your first lesson
On stayin alive

Meanwhile, here in Charlotte County, a 77 year old guy attacked a 65 year old man at Walmart. The offense? He exceeded the 20 or less items specified for that particular checkout lane. The 65 year old was in an electric cart. The 77 year old initially started by yelling and ramming him with his cart! The employees removed him from the store, but he returned. He was arrested and released on $2500 bond.

Now, can you imagine if you annoyed him with a minor driving infraction, ie, going too slow, or, Heaven forbid, come to a complete stop before turning right?

I'm sorry but I just don't get it. I wasn't aware texting made noise. That being said, if the shooter was so upset about it why didn't he move or go get an employee.
Lord I do miss the days when people would just "duke it out". But now no, we just go get our guns and come back shooting.
One second, one bad decision will change your life forever and not in a good way.

Last week (I think) a guy on an airplane got mad because a young kid was crying.

He use all kinds of racial slurs against the woman then slap the young one.

He's in jail....

Polarization and sensationalism are pushing people to the brink. To be blunt, I hate going outside because people today are shit. There is not a single time that I go out that someone's rudeness isn't mashed in my face. In stores I tell them now that they are rude. I expressly point it out. I told one woman she acts like an animal. She said, "Fuck you! I am an animal!" Who wants to deal with that crap? That's why I've gone nocturnal. It limits my contact with outsiders.

Our society is for shit. Look at the shit on television. The reality shows mock and humiliate people, and we gobble it right up. I want nothing to do with the stupidity, ignorance and arrogance that afflicts so many Americans today. If they want to be shit, fine, but stop smearing your shit on me.

Strange coincidence: I'm watching this weird movie entitled "God Bless America" about a guy who goes off the deep end and starts killing rude and/or obnoxious people. There just was a scene in a movie theater where he shot the other patrons who were using their cellphones during the movie.

I think we see more, hear more and, therefore, feel that it is okay to behave that way. There are still good humans out there, they just don't get the press like the slobs do.

KK, no need for name calling, the slobs are having another bad year....lol The problem is lack of respect and consideration for our fellow humans.

More info is coming out on the shooter. Apparently, he confronted another person who was texting in that theater a few weeks back. I'm certain there will be more incidents with him that come to light. And, you have to wonder why his son coincidentally arrivied at the theater just as Dad opened fire.
