Give a hoot, don't pollute!

Some of you may have seen this on an email I forwarded the other day. It's become my new credo: "Lord keep your arm around my shoulder and your hand over my mouth."

If necessary, use two hands, Lord.

I keep too much to myself. I prefer this prayer:

Lord, give me the mental fortitude to verbalize my anger and piss people off without the culpability of repercussion.

I must admit, I like KK's prayer best. WHY do people stand and gaze at you, and say nothing after you go off on them? After all, you just got done explaining the problem to them.

I just want to share with everyone I had two interviews at the new Walmart tuesday and went for a drug test yesterday. I am now waiting on the back ground check to see if I have the job. They said it would take a week to two weeks for that to come back. I am praying that I have this job because I am going crazy sitting at home already.

I hope everyone has a great day!

I would say that if the've invested this much time into hiring you, it is looking good. Congratulations! Keeping fingers crossed.

Good luck, Tender Heart Bear! You'll end up working "across the street" from where you used to work.

I wonder if they need greeters? My bank has greeters now. I don't like it. From 15 feet away she says, "Welcome to Wells Fargo. What brings you here today?" I don't feel like broadcasting to everyone in the bank what my business is. It's rude to ask. I just said, "Money," so she 'directed" me to the tellers.

Only two tellers were working, one for drive up and one for foot traffic. The line got very long very shortly. The greeter seemed to surprise everyone she talked to. I finally left. On the way, I told the greeter, "I don't mean to be rude, but your customers would be better served by another teller rather than a greeter." She smiled and said, "Thank you."

I guarantee you that this stupid idea was thought up by a suit who gets paid enormous sums of money to do nothing, a suit who never has to deal with tellers because his/her banking is all done for him/her by subordinates..
