New COP House opens in Downtown Racine

The Racine Police Department on Wednesday celebrated the opening of its new downtown Community Oriented Policing House at 434 Main St. RPD Chief Alexander Ramirez, Racine Mayor Cory Mason, Racine County District Attorney Tricia Hanson, Racine County Executive Ralph Malicki, Racine Area Manufacturers and Commerce President Mark Lewis, Alder Maurice Horton and other community leaders were present for the ceremony. The COP House will provide a visible police presence downtown, and officers will aim to build relationships with area business owners, according to Ramirez.
