Milwaukee car stolen, trashed; suspects say 'catch us if you can'

From Fox6Now:

A woman's car, stolen from Milwaukee's south side, was found with its windows busted, outside scraped and interior destroyed.

Camille Tracy said, while she is happy to have her car back, it is not what she expected.

"It was heartbreaking almost," Tracy said. "It was definitely surreal. I ran out the front door, I looked down the street and just to see if I parked somewhere I didn’t remember."

Tracy bought the Kia Forte just months ago. Police found it the day after it was stolen from the area of 30th and Cleveland.

"Walking up to my car, it was hard to see that there was only one window left in it and it was disgusting inside," said Tracy. "All of my seats had cigarette holes burned into them. There was a big urine smell. There was blood, everything. It was horrible."

Two graphic notes written in permanent marker were left with the car – one on the window, the other on a t-shirt inside talking about the "Kia Boys" and taunting police: "Catch us if you can."

"It was frustrating because it was like basically, we know you’re not going to catch me, so we’re just going to keep doing it," said Tracy.

Already in 2022, more than 260 cars have been stolen in Milwaukee. There were more than 10,000 vehicle thefts in 2021, Kia and Hyundai vehicles accounting for close to 70% of that total.

"I put my hard-earned money into my car, and it’s disheartening," Tracy said.

Upset but determined, Tracy hopes the criminal will be caught. No arrests have been made in the case thus far.

"I don’t want anyone else to have to look out their window and see that their car is gone," said Tracy.

Tracy not only called the police, but she also called Kia – asking the manufacturer to do something about the thefts.

WASHINGTON, Jan 10 (Reuters) - The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and U.S. State Department on Monday advised against travel to neighboring Canada because of a rising number of COVID-19 cases as the Omicron variant spreads.

The CDC elevated its travel recommendation to "Level Four: Very High" for Canada, telling Americans they should avoid travel, while the State Department also on Monday issued its "Level Four: Do Not Travel" advisory for Canada citing COVID-19 cases.

The CDC, which lists about 80 destinations worldwide at Level Four, also raised the island of Curacao to Level Four.

In November, the United States lifted restrictions at its land borders with Canada and Mexico for fully vaccinated foreign nationals, ending historic curbs on non-essential travelers put in place in March 2020 to address the COVID-19 pandemic.

Missing Gingerbread Man: Waukesha students search, sightings reported

From Fox6Now:

Kindergarten students at Hawthorne Elementary in Waukesha were using the different versions of the "Gingerbread Man" fairytale to learn about how to compare and contrast characters. The class even baked their own gingerbread man as part of the lesson – but then he mysteriously disappeared. The Gingerbread Man has now been spotted all over the country – and world!

Once upon a time a kindergarten class decorated and baked a gingerbread man.

"We walked down to the kitchen and put him in the oven," said Michelle Sanderfoot, kindergarten teacher, Hawthorne Elementary.

An hour later…

"The Gingerbread Man had mysteriously escaped the oven, just like in the story," said Sanderfoot.

Hawthorne Elementary teacher Michelle Sanderfoot took to social media asking if anyone knew where the Gingerbread Man could be. Immediately letters and postcards detailing a "sighting of the Gingerbread Man" came pouring in from neighboring states and far away countries.

The Gingerbread Man was spotted helping with tornado relief. Then he left crumbs in California.

"She was doing some baking, she heard some noise in her oven," said Sanderfoot "She sent us her postcard from California and a bag of literal crumbs."

From the beach back to the classroom – the Gingerbread Man shared his name with students in Ohio.

"The other class said, ‘we weren’t sure if he had a name so we asked him. So the other class, I think in Ohio, said that his name was ‘Gingy B. Bread.’ So we were like ‘Oh, OK," said Sanderfoot.

The search for "Gingy B Bread" is serving up a daily dose of sweetness.

"They are young, and it can be the smallest thing. I mean, they are so excited to open an envelope. You wouldn't think of it, but many children have never opened mail," said Sanderfoot.

And adding a new twist to a classic fairytale….

"I think just the fact that people are willing in this busy time to go out of their way to bring kindness and smiles to all of my students' faces, it's amazing," said Sanderfoot.

Michelle told FOX6 News she has some inside information that "Gingy B. Bread" is heading back to Hawthorne Elementary School on Valentine's Day.

Tomorrowland Has Fallen!

Has anyone else noticed just how odd it is that so many people on the progressive end of our cultural landscape are frantically trying to convince everyone that the Omicron variant, the latest mutation of the Covid-19 cold virus, really is the end of the world? I freely grant that a lot of people are ill just now—that’s what usually happens in the temperate zone’s winter, you know, when the latest respiratory viruses make their rounds.  I grant just as freely that hospitals are scrambling to keep up—many of them have laid off up to half their staff as a result of vaccine mandates, after all, and they’re being besieged by mobs of people who have been convinced by the media that ordinary cold symptoms mean they’re about to die.

The result is a collective frenzy being eagerly fed by a great many people. Of course it’s not surprising that the corporate media would push scare stories at full volume. Whoring out the news to sell advertising space is their stock in trade, and “if it bleeds, it leads” has taken precedence over responsible journalism since before there was responsible journalism.  Still, this isn’t limited to the media.  A great many people seem remarkably eager to insist that the pandemic can’t be winding down. In that eagerness I sense the approach of convulsive change.

Granted, a case can be made that there are practical if unmentionable reasons for this habit of sedulously cultivated panic. To begin with, as Freddie deBoer has pointed out in a trenchant post, being terrified of the Covid virus has become a venue for status competition among members of the privileged classes.  It’s an old story, at least as old as that fine fairy tale “The Princess and the Pea.”  Just as the princess in the story showed her royal status by being so hypersensitive that she could feel a single dry pea under seven mattresses, our current princesses—and princes, to be sure—display their status by insisting that they can contract a virus through seven face masks.

Another reason to cling to the pandemic is a phenomenon I’ve discussed in previous posts. One of the unintended side effects of shutting down the economy in 2020 is that a great many people found themselves with ample time and solitude to reflect on their lives, and realized that their jobs are so miserably paid, and made so intolerable by the humiliating petty tyranny that passes for management in today’s America, that it simply wasn’t worth going back to work.  A significant share of the US working classes responded to this reality by finding other ways to support themselves, with impacts that are still ricocheting through the global economy.

The unravelling begins

THE REALITY OF SCARCITY, THE SCARCITY OF REALITY

In nineteenth-century England, pictures of great events and famous personages could be purchased “penny-plain or tuppence-coloured”.

Where the world economy is concerned, the price of flattering colouration has soared into the trillions, but the value of a “penny-plain” view has never been higher.

The penny-plain picture now, of course, is that a vast gap has opened up between the consensus expectation of continuity and the hard reality of a post-growth economy. This gap is the counterpart of the chasm that exists between the ‘real’ economy of goods and services and the ‘financial’ economy of money and credit.

Our understanding of these dissonances sets an outline programme for ongoing analysis. The best routes to effective interpretation are those which (a) compare reality with perception, and (b) calibrate the relationships between the ‘two economies’ of money and energy. In the coming months, the aim here will be to add interpretive and statistical detail to the picture that is emerging as the aquatint wash of delusion fades away.

The divergence between expectation and reality isn’t – in itself – a new development. Many of us have long known that, over a very extended period, most economic “growth” has been a cosmetic product of breakneck and hazardous monetary expansion, that the underlying economy has been faltering, and that the confidence placed in ‘continuity’ lacks a basis in fact.

We can go further, recognizing that even the simulacrum of “growth” can’t last much longer, that the real prices of assets are destined to fall sharply in a context of broader financial distress, and that the balance of political power might be poised to shift, perhaps in a direction that, once upon a time, used to be called “left”.

What IS different now is that a process of fundamental change is already underway. The consensus case for continuity is crumbling, and is being exposed as a product of self-deception, wishful-thinking and economic incomprehension, spiced with absurd amounts of techno-utopianism.

The outcome mightn’t – and needn’t – be the wholesale “collapse” predicted by doomsayers.

But the game is up for what we might call the ‘continuity consensus’.

DETROIT – In a game with two teams having opposite seasons, the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions entered Sunday’s regular-season finale with opposite approaches.

For the Packers, Week 18 felt like a glorified exhibition. A week after clinching the NFC’s top seed, the Packers pulled Aaron Rodgers and many other key starters before halftime. They no doubt heavily scaled back their scheme, intent on not showing any usable film to whoever their NFC divisional round playoff opponent is in two weeks.

Meanwhile, the Lions treated Sunday much like their own Super Bowl, pulling out the full bag of tricks including two reverse passes that went for touchdowns and a fake punt.

27 people rescued from floating ice chunk in Green Bay

From Fox6Now:

Authorities rescued 27 people from a floating chunk of ice that broke away from shore in the bay of Green Bay in eastern Wisconsin, the sheriff's office said Sunday.

No injuries were reported in the incident that happened Saturday morning north of Green Bay, in the arm that's part of Lake Michigan, the Brown County Sheriff's Office reported. Many of the 27 people rescued were ice fishing at the time of the incident.

The chunk of ice floated about three-quarters of a mile during the rescue and was about a mile from the shoreline by the time everyone was brought to solid ground. Authorities said the stranded people were on the separated ice shove for about 90 minutes.

A barge traveling through the bay may have caused the ice chunk to break off the shoreline, the sheriff's office said. Shane Nelson, who was making his first ice fishing excursion, said the noise sounded like somebody had fired a gun.

"We thought it was interesting, got out of our shanty, took a look and people were yelling on the ice, ‘We’re separating,’" Nelson told WLUK-TV.

Airboats from the Brown County Sheriff's Office and the U.S. Coast Guard were able to rescue eight passengers at a time.

The Entire Agenda of the Global Order is Anti-Natal (Anti-Family)

It’s amazing that the media just casually refers to the events of 1/6 as “the insurrection.”

Not “what some have called an insurrection.”

Just “the insurrection.”

The Guardian:

A year on from the Capitol attack by loyalist supporters of Donald Trump, many families are still reeling from members outing each other to law enforcement and offspring traumatized by their parents’ involvement in the insurrection.

Jackson Reffitt, a 19-year old from Texas, called the FBI weeks before his father, Guy Reffitt, stormed the US Capitol on January, saying that his father had been hinting at doing “something big”, Teen Vogue reported.

In text messages obtained by the magazine, Jackson’s younger sister texted their father in a family group chat, writing: “Dad, please be safe!! You know you are risking not only your business but your life too.”

Guy Reffitt replied: “I have no intention on throwing it away. I love ALL of you with ALL my heart and soul. This is for our country and for ALL OF YOU and your kids. God bless us, one and all … ”

Guy Reffitt has since been charged with numerous crimes.

The charges relate to obstruction of an official proceeding, obstruction of justice for threatening his children, transporting firearms with the intention of using them during the mob attack on the Capitol, and a misdemeanor charge of accessing Secret Service-protected grounds without lawful authority.

While in jail awaiting trial, the senior Reffitt texted news reports to the family group chat that featured photos of himself at the riots.

Jackson told Teen Vogue that as the attacks unfolded, live on television, he received a phone call from the FBI, asking him to confirm his father’s identity and he confirmed that it was his father at the riot.

Jackson now lives away from his family and rarely communicates with them.

It goes on.

This apparently happened a lot. Obviously not every case is going to be recorded. Those calls to the FBI are private. They don’t publish lists of people who snitched on family members.

It’s so alien, it’s on the level of trannyism.

The man who bought Kyle Rittenhouse the AR-15 rifle in the Kenosha shootings takes a plea deal to avoid a criminal conviction

From JSOnline:

Kyle Rittenhouse's friend, who bought him an assault-style rifle when he was only 17, has agreed to plead no contest to contributing to the delinquency of a minor, a non-criminal citation, and avoid convictions on the two felonies he'd been facing.

Dominick Black, 20, was charged in November 2020 with two counts of delivering a dangerous weapon to a minor, resulting in death. The two counts related to Joseph Rosenbaum and Anthony Huber, the protesters Rittenhouse fatally shot the night of Aug. 25, 2020, in Kenosha.

Black was 18 when he purchased the Smith & Wesson M&P 15 rifle for Rittenhouse at a hardware store in Rusk County in May that year. At 17, Rittenhouse was too young to legally purchase the weapon.

In August 2020, Rittenhouse used it to kill two people and wound a third during protests in Kenosha. In November, a jury found him not guilty, based on his claim of self-defense.

Black was the first prosecution witness at Rittenhouse's trial, but the status of his own charges were up in the air after Judge Bruce Schroeder agreed to throw out one of the charges against Rittenhouse — that he unlawfully possessed a firearm as a minor. The defense convinced Schroeder that an exception in the law allows 17-year-olds to possess rifles and shotguns, or at least left the law too vague to be enforceable.

Black's attorney, Anthony Cotton of Waukesha, had made the same argument for dismissing Black's case. Schroeder is also the judge on Black's case, which is set for a hearing Monday morning.

Kenosha County Assistant District Attorney Thomas Binger

On Friday, Assistant District Attorney Thomas Binger filed a proposed plea agreement. It suggested Black would plead no contest to a pair of citations, and pay a $2,000 fine, and the felony counts would be dismissed. The proposed deal was first reported by kenoshacountyeye.com.

Judge Schroeder could reject the deal, or still just dismiss the original felony counts based on his ruling about the minors-with-firearms law in the Rittenhouse case.

Reached Saturday, Cotton said he's hopeful Schroeder will accept the negotiated agreement, noting that Black has already testified under oath as to all the factual basis.

Complaint to Lake Delton PD

Concerning my laptop which was stolen at Mt. Olympus:

Case # LD22-0030

After I was arrested for Disorderly Conduct and Lewd and Lascivious Behavior I spent a night at Sauk County Sheriff's Dept.  Jail.

I called Mount Olympus and asked that they return all my property from the Hotel Room and advised them that I was afraid to go back because a young Man had threatened " I'll Kill You Old Man" - after I asked them to refrain from their fights in the hallway and engaging children, young adults and what appeared to be grandparents.
